Communications & Social Media Support

Role Purpose

We're on the lookout for a natural storyteller, creative, enthusiastic, and proactive to help amplify our voice and grow our online presence. In this role, you’ll craft compelling content that tells our story, celebrates our impact, and sparks meaningful engagement with our community.

Once you're up and running, this role can be done remotely giving you the flexibility to make an impact from wherever you are. If you’re ready to inspire, engage, and help grow a movement, we’d love to have you on board!

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a simple monthly social media plan (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn).
• Create engaging posts, stories, and reels that reflect our values and showcase our work.
• Write clear, compassionate, and inspiring content for social media, newsletters, and website updates.
• Manage our online supporter community by responding to messages and comments.
• Source and curate photos, videos, and stories from our programmes and events.
• Monitor post engagement and recommend ways to increase reach and impact.
• Collaborate with the team to promote fundraising campaigns, events, and initiatives.

Requirements:

• Strong writing and editing skills, with a warm, authentic style.
• Experience in social media management (professional or volunteer).
• An eye for design and ability to use tools like Canva (or willingness to learn).
• Understanding of tone sensitivity when sharing stories about mental health.
• Self-motivated, organised, and able to meet agreed timelines.
• Photography and video editing skills.

A Police background check is required for this role.
