Community singing group – Penrose disability arts!
Māpura Studios is a creative space that offers visual art, dance, music, movement and art therapy programmes to people who are marginalised by disability, mental health or otherwise. We are looking for some special people to assist in our wonderful singing group that runs on Thursdays in Penrose. If you can play the guitar that would be even better! Volunteering with Māpura Studios means enjoying a warm and inclusive environment, clear communications and guidance, regular check-ins and space for feedback, and of course, you get to connect with our amazing community.
It is important that you are able to fit in to the Māpura Studios culture of inclusion, expression, connection and respect. You will need to be reliable and punctual You will need to be able to commit to a minimum of 3 months but it would be great if you are able to stay with us longer. Willingness to join in and sing along!
1 - 3 hours per week (12pm - 2.30pm Tuesdays)
