Community singing group – disability arts! Mt Albert and Penrose

Māpura Studios is a creative space that offers visual art, dance, music, movement and art therapy programmes to people who are marginalised by disability, mental health or otherwise. We are looking for some special people to assist in our wonderful singing group that runs on Thursday s in Penrose and on Fridays in Mt Albert. If you can play the guitar that would be amazing but it is not a requirement. Volunteering with Māpura Studios means enjoying a warm and inclusive environment, clear communications and guidance, regular check-ins and space for feedback, and of course, you get to connect with our amazing community.
The volunteer role would be for either Mt Albert OR Penrose as we need support in both locations.

It is important that you are able to fit in to the Māpura Studios culture of inclusion, expression, connection and respect. You will need to be reliable and punctual You will need to be able to commit to a minimum of 3 months but it would be great if you are able to stay with us longer. Willingness to join in and sing along!

A Police background check is required for this role.
