Grants & Fundraising Coordinator
PURPOSE
To support the Treasurer in maintaining the financial viability of the library.
To encourage member participation in fundraising events
RESPONSIBILITIES
Stay informed about new grant opportunities and search for new sources of funding
Plans and keeps a funding calendar of application closing dates from various known funders for the year
Write and submit persuasive grant/funding applications
Monitors and reports back to the Committee of funding targets.
Maintain records of all funding/grant applications and outcomes
Organise local fundraisers (optional but welcome!)
Investigate possible sponsorship partners
Track funding spend and ensure funding accountability
Work with the other committee officers to ensure all documentation required for grants is supplied.
Coordinate with the marketing/media team to post ‘Thank you’ messages to the funder on our social media.
Be a member of the TLFNZ Toy Libraries Face Book group (Closed Group support page)
Experience writing grant/funding applications is beneficial
Positive attitude and ability to work to deadlines
Ability to work well and effectively as a member of a team
Computing and communication skills
Attention to detail
Varies depending on funding/grant application deadlines and complexity. Work is from home.
Attendance at committee meetings on a monthly basis - usually online, quarterly in person at the toy library in Green Bay
