Community singing group - disability arts!

Māpura Studios is a creative space that offers visual art, dance, music, movement and art therapy programmes to people who are marginalised by disability, mental health or otherwise.
We are looking for some special people to assist our current volunteers and our Singing Tutor in our singing groups that run during weekdays in various locations across Auckland. These are: Mt Albert, Ōtāhuhu, and Penrose. If you can play the guitar that would be even better!
You will need to be able to commit to a minimum of 3 months but it would be great if you are able to stay with us longer.
Volunteering with Mapura Studios means enjoying a robust volunteer onboarding process, a warm and inclusive environment, clear communications and guidance, regular check-ins and space for feedback, and of course, you get to connect with our amazing community.

Requirements:

It is important that you are able to fit in to the Mapura Studios culture • Inclusion - everyone is welcome and treated with respect. • Expression - Every voice and story matters. • Connection - Relationships are at the heart of our work. • Respect - We honour the dignity and diversity of every person. This environment is vibrant - sometimes loud and occasionally confronting - but always wonderful!

A Police background check is required for this role.
