Volunteer Opportunities
Takapuna Boating Club is a lively community hub offering water sports activities including sailing, surf skiing and stand-up paddleboarding (SUP), along with regular social and members’ events.
We’re looking for volunteers to assist with a range of tasks that help keep the club running smoothly. Depending on your skills and interests, you could help with:
- Help out on sailing days (usually weekends)
- Health & safety support at the club or on the water
- Maintenance of club equipment (boats, surfskis, paddleboards)
- General building and grounds upkeep
- Set up for social events
- Social media skills
- Gardening
- Helping out the bar when busy
- Promoting the club to local groups and businesses
You’ll enjoy great views, a fun atmosphere, and the opportunity to contribute to a positive, community-focused organisation.
- Friendly and approachable
- Willing to lend a hand and be part of a team
- Good communicator and reliable
- Specific roles (e.g. bar work, boat maintenance) may require relevant experience or age (18+ for bar service)
Approx. 2–4 hours per month
Flexible scheduling based on your availability
Some roles are weekend- or evening-based (e.g., sailing support or social events)
