Fertility New Zealand - Volunteer Group Facilitator

Are you passionate about supporting women on their journey to motherhood? Do you have an interest in donor conception and helping others navigate the unique path to becoming a Single Mother by Choice? This is a specialised role dedicated to providing vital support, information, and community to women navigating a significant and sometimes challenging time in their lives.

We are looking for someone with a keen interest in donor conception and the Single Mothers by Choice community. The ideal candidate will have strong communication and interpersonal skills, a passion for fostering supportive environments, and experience or enthusiasm for managing social media and online communities. Additionally, organisational skills are essential for handling administrative tasks such as setting up Facebook events and booking venues.

Requirements:

Key Responsibilities:
• Co-lead monthly support groups alternating between in-person and online. Training will be provided before you start.
• Co-manage our private Facebook group and engage with the community on social media. We’re looking for a social media superstar who can help build awareness and foster connections.
• Admin tasks related to group coordination and communication.

Time commitment:

Commitment:
• To organise and attend support groups in person and online, held in the morning on the last Sunday of each month. This may change if the date conflicts with a public holiday.
• The time commitment of this role will be 3-6 hours per month, which includes administrative and social media tasks.
• To attend annual training and engage with ongoing development opportunities to increase your knowledge in this role.
