Bocce Support
Special Olympics works with young and mature athletes with intellectual disabilities who love participating in Bocce. Special Olympics Auckland club has an established Bocce group training at the Ranfurly Care Hall, Epsom. To support the athletes, we are wanting volunteers who are willing to assist with skill development. We would love your assistance and knowledge in this area.
All applicants must live in Auckland.
A Police background check is required for this role.
Experience and/or coaching awards are an advantage for the applicant.
April – October: 1 hour on a Monday evening (7-8pm) and/or,
October – April: 1.5 hours on a Thursday evening (6.30-8pm) for training.
Competition days take place during the year. Competition days are held on a Saturday or Sunday or both in the year before National Games. Time commitment for competition may vary from half a day to overnight depending on type of event. It would be great if you were also able to support the team at the competitions where they choose to compete.
