Dementia Care Social Support

Volunteers are needed to bring joy to residents in an Epsom care home for older adults living with dementia. We are looking for volunteers who can commit to 1 hour every week to assist with activities, offer social support, and provide companionship for residents. These volunteers should enjoy spending time with older adults and have excellent communication skills.

Most of all, we look for kind-hearted volunteers who are willing to give some of their time to help others. Volunteers also need to be reliable and have confidence to interact with care home residents (with assistance from other volunteers and staff). Volunteers will be required to complete an online orientation (30 minutes) and in-person orientation (1 hour) before starting.

A Police background check is required for this role.

1 hour per week is ideal. Volunteer hours are generally one hour between 10am-12pm and 1pm-5pm every day.
