Care home residents often struggle with feelings of loneliness. Animals can bring a unique sense of comfort and joy to these residents. We are looking for kind-hearted volunteers who can spend an hour (per week, fortnight, or month) at a care home in the Greenlane (Auckland) area visiting care home residents with their friendly animal.

Requirements:

Volunteers must have their own well-trained pet that they can introduce to residents. We would most appreciate volunteers that can visit between the hours of 10am-5pm Monday through Sunday.

A Police background check is required for this role.

Time commitment:

Preferably 1-2 hours per week, per fortnight, or per month.
