Running a kiosk on a Hauraki Gulf Island

We would like a volunteer to help run our kiosk during the summer period (October - March). preferably someone that can commit to several days at a time, accommodation will be available. Duties would also include assistance with the cleaning and monitoring of the visitor service facilities.

You need to be a person who enjoys interacting with the public but also has attention to detail to ensure that sales are correctly entered and is trustworthy as you will be managing cash as well as card-based sales and will need to cash up accurately at the end of each day. The Rotoroa Island Trust will train you in the role and will expect you to do it with no supervision as the island can be very busy.

A Police background check is required for this role.

minimum of 3 days in a row. hours will vary depending on visitor activity.
