Chairperson

We understand there will be a settling-in period, after which the responsibility to provide leadership and guidance in meeting the service's aims and objectives, as well as developing its plans, will be crucial.
To oversee the functions of the management committee and collaborate with the Operations Manager, providing support and clarifying the committee's requirements when needed.

Requirements:
  • Lead with strength and guidance but without overshadowing others
  • Actively listen
  • Have good sense of humour, patience and tolerance
  • Familiarize yourself with the organization, its rules and objectives
  • Be impartial
  • Listen to all points of view

A Police background check is required for this role.

Time commitment:

Chair monthly meetings from January through to November 1-1.5 hours
Approximately 3 hours of preparation per month
