Care Home Activity Volunteer

Volunteers are needed to bring joy to residents in a Greenlane care home. We are looking for volunteers who can commit to 1 hour every weekend to facilitate an activity (e.g. bingo) for residents. These volunteers should enjoy spending time with older adults, are happy to work in a team, and have good communication skills. This is a great opportunity for a volunteer who’d like an activity-based task to do while getting to know the residents.

Most of all, we look for kind-hearted volunteers who are willing to give some of their time to help others. Volunteers also need to be reliable and have confidence to facilitate activities for residents (with assistance from other volunteers and staff). Volunteers will be required to complete an online orientation (30 minutes) and in-person orientation (1 hour) before starting.

A Police background check is required for this role.

1 hour per week on a weekend. Volunteer hours are generally one hour between 10am-12pm and 1pm-5pm.
