Youth Leader - Unit Team Leaders/Unit Leaders - Awaruku Pippins

Awaruku Pippins urgently requires Unit Team Leaders and Unit Leaders:
Unit Leaders: - Attend a weekly session (in person) for up to two hours - Helping plan the term’s activities and deliver them to the girls - Complete occasional evening/weekend training as required - Attend occasional leader/planning meetings, and trips or camps Awaruku Pippins is located in Waiake, Auckland, and you will be supporting girls aged between 5 and 7 years old.
Unit Team Leaders: The successful candidate would need to be prepared to obtain their Leadership Qualification and, in time, take over the running of the unit. Perfect role for an existing or previous Guiding Leader.
Awaruku Pippins meet Tuesdays from 16:30 - 5:30 pm term-time only on weeknights. No experience is needed, but we need reliable volunteers, and previous experience working with youth is an advantage. GirlGuiding New Zealand’s Health and Safety policy also has requirements around adult-to-child ratios, so we require you to be older than 18. This role would require a 2-4 hour a week commitment for planning and running activities. If this doesn’t suit, we would love to talk with you about other more flexible options that may suit you.
