Driver & Logistics Support
Lonely Miaow need help moving kitties, supplies and donations around Auckland. We are spread across the Greater Auckland area and frequently need to deliver foster cats to our partner stores for adoption, or taken to vets if a foster home isn't able or collect supplies or donations and deliver to other volunteers.
What You’ll Do:
Transport cat food, supplies, and other essentials to foster carers and community cat feeders
Safely drive the Lonely Miaow van for scheduled pick-ups and deliveries from North Shore, all over Auckland
Occasionally assist with transporting cats to vet appointments or new foster homes
This role will be responsible for coordinating deliveries and organizing volunteers orders from foster homes to provide this essential support to our organisation.
The candidate will need to have:
✅ excellent communications and organisational skills
✅ A valid New Zealand driver’s license
✅ Over 25 years old
✅ Your own transport to collect the Lonely Miaow van from our depot on the North Shore
✅ Reliability, time management, and a commitment to animal welfare
✅ Fit with Ability to lift 20Kg+
ideally, excellent geographical knowledge of Auckland
experience using google mail and is on Facebook, as these are our main tools for communications.
This is a new role in our organisation, so will initially need to build up processes and team in conjuncture with existing foster home teams and volunteers. Therefore it is anticipated a candidate would need a few hours a day initially, and reducing to 5-10 hours a week, once a team has been built.
