Board Secretary/Treasurer

We are a small team of passionate but very busy parents and we need someone to help us:
Maintain accurate financial records;
Support the chair with fundraising applications and accountability reports,
Manage, organise and maintain our Google Drive,
Collaborate with the team to develop and maintain efficient systems for record-keeping and communication.
Prepare financial reports for board meetings and assist with strategic financial planning.
Assist with correspondence, scheduling, and coordination of meetings and events.

Requirements:

Strong organisational and time management skills.
Proficiency in using Google Drive, spreadsheets, and other digital tools for administrative tasks.
Experience with financial record-keeping and familiarity with balance sheets and budgets (prior experience in a similar role is preferred but not required).
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Passion for our charity's mission and a desire to make a positive impact in our community.

A Ministry of Justice background check is required for this role.

Time commitment:

This is a part-time, volunteer position requiring approximately 10 hours per month (at the most). You work at a time that suits you. 4 committee meetings a year, held in the evening.
