Kitchen Helpers

Everybody Eats serves pay-what-you-can (koha), three-course set menus, made from rescued food. Meals are prepared and served by volunteers under the guidance of our chefs and managers. Our kitchen volunteers help to prepare and serve food and beverages to our community.

We do what we do to address food waste, food insecurity and social isolation. Join us on our mission!

Requirements:

We prepare and serve a lot of food so volunteers need to be confident and comfortable in a relatively fast-paced environment taking instructions from our chef(s). All kitchen volunteers need to be comfortable on their feet constantly for at least 3 hours. No experience necessary, but being an enthusiastic home cook is an advantage!

Time commitment:

Choose the shifts that work for you - options for prep (12pm-4pm) or service (5.30pm-8.30pm), Sunday-Thursday. Volunteers can sign up for a regular shift, or choose one-off shifts as suits their schedule.

Getting started:
The first step is to express your interest by filling out the form below. We will then put you in touch directly with the organisation for more information on the role and how to proceed.
