Kitchen Helpers
Everybody Eats serves a pay-what-you-can three-course set menu (that changes every night), made from rescued food. Meals are prepared and served by volunteers under the guidance of our chefs and managers. Our front of house volunteers help to serve the meals to our community. Our ethos is to reduce food waste, reduce food insecurity and foster connections in our communities.
It's a unique experience that combines social impact with hospitality skills and food education! You will receive orientation materials when you sign up, then be guided through your first shifts by our experienced volunteers. You can also set up a regular shift to lock in your spot every week!
Please note that we currently do not have capacity to accomodate volunteers under 18 years of age.
We serve a lot of food, so volunteers need to be confident and comfortable in a relatively fast-paced environment taking instructions from our chef(s). All kitchen volunteers need to be comfortable on their feet constantly for at least 3 hours. No is experience necessary.
Food Preparation (12pm-4pm Monday to Thursday) with Sunday being from 3pm to 5pm, Kitchen Service or Front of house Service (5.30pm-8.30pm), Sunday-Thursday. Regular shifts are available upon request once you have found a shift that works for you, or request online for shifts based on your schedule.
