Event Planner

We are looking to both increase awareness about our Toy Library in Auckland (Grey Lynn, Point Chevalier, Kingsland, Westmere, CBD) and provide some fun events for our current members. We are a great community resource with over 800 toys that we lend out to families with children from 4 months - 7 years old. We are primarily volunteer run and have been in operation for 25 years.

This is a great opportunity for someone who wants hands on experience with event planning in a close-knit and welcoming community.

We are looking for volunteers who can work well on their own and who like to get things done. You would be supported by our friendly committee, but would be primarily responsible for planning events, set-up and pack-down, creating posters or social media posts, and helping children engage with resources on the day (playdough, colouring, sports equipment, bubbles, or whatever else you can think of).

We do have a small budget to work with for such events, but as a non-profit we mostly want to work with what we have, and if you wanted to go big we could support you in applying for a community grant to get more funds.

Our library is open every Wednesday and Saturday mornings, and you are welcome to come in and visit us. It's always a joy to see our children’s delight and excitement as they explore our selection of toys, and we can't wait to extend our service to more local families as word gets out about this amazing resource in the heart of Auckland <3.

Ideally we would like someone who is willing to stick with us long-term and support us with running regular events for our families over time.
