Laundry Pod Volunteer
Join us in our mission to Positively Connect Communities. We don't have all the answers to homelessness, but what we can provide is free clean laundry, a warm shower and genuine conversation to those doing it tough.
As an Orange Sky (OS) volunteer, you will greet whānau with an awesome group of kaimahi to provide safe and reliable free laundry operations, assist in maintain the washing and dryer POD and engage in genuine and positive conversations with friends, service providers and other volunteers.
We are looking for awesome volunteers to help make a difference 2hrs each week or fortnight at the following shifts in Mangere:
- Mondays 10:00am - 12:00pm
- Mondays 12:00pm - 2:00pm
- Tuesdays 10:00am - 12:00pm
- Tuesdays 12:00pm - 2:00pm
- Wednesdays 10:00am - 12:00pm
- Wednesday 12:00pm - 2:00pm
- Thursdays 10:00am - 12:00pm
- Thursdays 12:00pm - 2:00pm
- Fridays 10:00am - 12:00pm
- Fridays 12:00pm - 2:00pm

This is a great opportunity to get involved with your local community and make a practical difference in people’s lives.
- Physically able to operate OS equipment, including loading and unloading loads of washing, cleaning showers and machines and engaging in non-judgment conversation
- Confident in communication technology
- You must be over the age of 18 years old
- Ideally, you will be able to give a regular commitment for 6 months
2-4 hours each week/fortnight
