Trust Board Member
Mairangi Arts Centre (MAC) is a charitable organisation that is governed by a volunteer Board of Trustees (BOT) and follows MAC’s Constitution. The centre is now seeking enthusiastic and talented individuals with Business and/or Accounting experience to join the Board of Trustees. MAC’s Board of Trustees is responsible for the centre’s governance, determining the overarching strategic plan, ensuring that the centre’s management aligns with its values and goals, as well as acting in a monitoring and advisory capacity to the centre’s operational team. The Board of Trustees meets monthly, in the evenings. MAC’s Operational Team prepares a monthly Board Pack containing Operational, Health & Safety, monthly Management Accounts (Xero) and any other matters for review prior to MAC’s BOT monthly meeting. Your commitment will be a monthly BOT meeting
of approximately one and a half hours on the third Wednesday of the month and the occasional referral by the Operations Team on a matter covered by your area of expertise. Past experience indicates no more than 3 to 4 hours per month. Trustees often tap into their existing networks to provide knowledge and expertise that support achieving MAC’s vision of nurturing the continuous discovery of diverse and innovative art experiences.
