Videographer for youth nature photography workshops

This role involves capturing videos of our nature photography workshops and putting together reels for Instagram and Youtube. We organise nature photography workshops at parks, nature reserves and other outdoor areas. We have about 40 workshops every year, but don't need videographer for all of them, just for important ones (roughly 1/month).

IMAgEN8 is a registered charity whose purpose is to foster sustainable connections with New Zealand's natural environment in our diverse communities through education, photography and technology. We conduct nature photography workshops on school grounds and nature reserves that connect tamariki and rangatahi with nature, enhance their wellbeing, build skills and foster environmental stewardship through creative expression. Our borrow-a-camera programs ('Be an Environmentalist' and 'Be an Artist') equip and enable students to capture compelling stories about nature through workshops, webinars and assignments so they can create images to inspire love and connection with nature. These activities are available to students for free or at very low cost as they are funded through community grants or through school programs. We are an accredited activity for the Duke of Edinburgh's Hillary Award as well. Students' work is published in books and a magazine, Compassionate Nature, and has been featured in several exhibitions around Auckland at community centres and local libraries.

Since June 2018, we have run 122+ workshops with 742+ students, published 7 books and 14 editions of our photography magazine, held 4 exhibitions, and 13 students have participated in our ‘Borrow a camera’ programs. We have had an exciting 5 years and are looking forward to giving more students in more locations the opportunity to benefit from our programs. Join us to help make this happen!
