Radio Lollipop PlayMaker

Register Today Info Evening to be held Thursday 30th May! Westies Wanted - our amazing team at Waitakere Hospital spends time with children in hospital twice a week. We need your help to add another night to spend time with children in the Rangatira Ward. If you love bubbles, if you're creative - we have the sweetest babies and the coolest kids who we think are totally worthy of your time and sense of fun. Volunteer with us, it might just be the most rewarding thing you ever do.

Radio Lollipop operates in three Auckland based hospitals and we are seeking new volunteers to join our growing teams. We believe in the healing power of play, and our wonderful volunteers continuously provide smiles and laughter to children at a time when they need it most! Our aim every shift is to simply add a little bit of fun into a child's stay and help brighten their road to recovery.

Spending time with a child on the wards, is as simple as child's play. You might create play through crafts, games, laughter, music, broadcasting or one-to-one connections; all of which help sick children feel elevated and engaged. Each volunteer visits one evening a week, taking all-round good vibes to children in hospital and helping to create the kind of environment our kids need to heal and recover. Our volunteers come from all walks of life, there is no need for medical or radio experience – you just need to bring your own unique sense of child-led fun! Register your interest through the link below for one of our upcoming information sessions to find out how you could help put a smile on a child in hospitals face.

Radio Lollipop Volunteers have a great deal of fun providing a valuable service to sick children and their families. The reward of seeing a quiet, withdrawn child return to a confident, happy child is immense and is something that our Volunteers experience on a regular basis.
