Info Evening Coming Soon: SHOW YOU CARE - Are you ready to make a difference in the lives of children and their families in hospitals? At Radio Lollipop, every day is an opportunity to bring smiles, laughter and a touch of magic to those who need it most. Whether you love storytelling, playing music, or simply being a comforting friend, we want YOU to join our vibrant team of volunteers.
We are seeking incredible people like you, to show up one night a week to provide care, comfort, play and entertainment to children in hospital. And the best part is it's a whole lot of fun!
After a day wrangling spreadsheets and chasing deadlines, imagine unwinding by diving into a world of play and laughter. At a place where you'd least expect it. If you love crafting, playing board games and bringing smiles to little faces during tough times, or if you wanna be a radio rock star, we need vibrant hosts to get kids excited and live on air! Both on the wards and in the studio, we'd love to share our amazing little charity with you. Go On - Register for our Info Evening. It might just be the most rewarding thing you do.
Each volunteer brings their own unique strengths / imaginations to children in hospital. You will need to be adaptable and sensitive to provide times of quiet play and times of more upbeat fun with a wide range of age groups (babies through to teenagers). You will be required to be a team player with a good understanding of hospital and Radio Lollipop expectations. All volunteers are required to:
Attend an Information Evening - this gives us the opportunity to give you a better understanding of Radio Lollipop and what's expected of our volunteers. Applicants need to be be at least 18 years old;
Agree to NZ Police Vetting;
Vaccinations be up to date;
Provide two Referee's;
And be available to attend Training Sessions & Community Events
