Volunteer Coordinator (Volunteer Role)

Tim Bray Theatre Company is seeking someone that can coordinate our team of volunteers.
Our driving purpose is to fire young imaginations and ignite the creative minds of tomorrow, deepening and expanding their cultural awareness as we do so. Tim Bray Theatre Company was established in 1991. Since that date, the company has entertained and educated tens of thousands of children and young people through New Zealand theatre. The company is governed by a charitable trust, The Operating Theatre Trust.

Volunteers make a difference in our Tim Bray Theatre Company through their time, dedication, skills and aroha. Our Volunteer Coordinator therefore plays an important role to:

  1. Co-ordinate our large, diverse team of volunteers
  2. Help to support our volunteers with their scheduling and tasks
  3. Contribute ideas to further the development of the volunteer programme so that it reflects the diversity of all of our communities, and from all walks of life.
Requirements:

. Passion for drama and theatre for children and young people.
. Experience in volunteering locally and/or internationally, ideally in a theatre environment.
. Working knowledge of databases and MS Office (especially Excel).
. Able to communicate effectively with diverse people.
. Excellent organisational and team coordination abilities.
. A pleasant, outgoing personality.

Time commitment:

5 - 10 Hours per week, starting as soon as possible.
9am - 10am on show days – includes weekends.
