We require more amazing Volunteers to join GirlGuiding NZ to provide great Girl-Led programmes and activities for our Girls and Young Women.

As a volunteer, you will:
- Have a passion to inspire girls and young women to reach their full potential and learn new skills
- Be encouraging, assertive, and patient
- Be a hands-on leader and learner
- Meet new people and become part of a worldwide network
During the school term, our GGNZ leaders:
- Attend a weekly session (in person) for up to two hours
- Helping plan the term’s activities and deliver them to the girls
- Complete occasional evening/weekend training as required
- Attend occasional leader/planning meetings and trips or camps
We require Volunteers - Unit Leaders for our Brownies/Pippins and Ranger Units.
All Units are located in Glenfield, Auckland.
Belair Brownies meet on Wednesdays from 17.00-18.30 term-time only on weeknights and supports Girls aged between 7-9.5 years old.
Glenfield Rangers meets Wednesdays from 19.00-21.00 term-time only on weeknights and supports Young Women 12-17 Years
Glenfield Pippins meets Tuesdays 17.00-18.00 term-time only on weeknights and supports Girls aged 5-7 years

Experience is optional, but we need reliable volunteers, and previous experience working with youth is an advantage.
GirlGuiding New Zealand’s Health and Safety policy also has requirements around adult-to-child ratios, so we require you to be older than 18.

This role would require 2-4 hours a week for planning and running activities. If this doesn’t suit you, we would love to discuss other more flexible options that may suit you.
