Electrician - Electrical Tester

As an Electrical Tester, your volunteer role involves testing the electrical equipment that is donated to us, making sure it is suitable and safe for sale.
Hospice West Auckland has 6 Op Shops across West Auckland which receives electrical goods on a daily basis.

This role is essential to us as it ensures that we are able to re-sell pre-loved electrical goods in order to raise vital funds to provide end-of-life care for people in the west and their families. The majority of the testing work will be completed at one of our two large format stores: Our New Lynn Hospice Shop and Henderson Hospice Shop. You will be working with some amazing teams across both stores. This role is a wonderful way to give back and connect with others in the community.

Requirements:

You will need to be a qualified electrician, as we will not be providing on-the-job training.

A Police background check is required for this role.

Time commitment:

As we have many electrical goods to test, ideally we are looking for a minimum of 4 hours a week and maximum 16 hours.
