North Shore: School Holiday Lunchtime Carer

We’re looking for kind, caring local North Shore volunteers to join in some school holiday fun caring for 5-12 year olds during our art programme lunch breaks.
Available volunteers are paired up and assist by:

-Supervising a group of up to 12 children while they have their lunch and morning tea breaks. Our staff are working around the break area during this time.
-Take them outside to the park to kick a ball and run off some energy
-Alternatively, rainy day options can be making paper airplanes, a dancing game of musical statues or other indoor activities
-Returning the students back to their studio and welcoming the next classes' students who will have their break
-Time commitment for one shift is approximately three and a half to four hours and you can do as many or as few shifts on the programme as you like. Any help you can give is very much appreciated.

THANK YOU: Volunteers who are able to assist us will be provided ingredients for you to make yourself a hot toasted sandwich as well as tea/coffee/hot chocolate after their shift.

Requirements:

reliable, enjoy being around children, kind, caring, North Shore

A Police background check is required for this role.

Time commitment:

Shifts start at 10am for approximately three and a half to four hours. You can help on as many days as you like or if you can only help one day that's fine, any assistance is appreciated. Dates we need help exclude weekends and public holidays.
