Volunteer Driver for Food Deliveries

Some of those with ME/CFS are quite severely incapacitated and unable to shop or prepare meals. We are looking for drivers who would be happy to pick up the bags of chilled food or groceries and deliver them to an area of Auckland and/or deliver the food between major cities to our food hubs. Some are just point to point deliveries and others are to individuals front doors.
This would suit a retired person who has a 3-4 hours every 2 weeks, or someone who regularly commutes between centers and can take a a few chilly bags or chilly bin filled with chilled meals with them. We are particularly looking for drivers in the Howick area. We require a police check for this position and will work within the mandatory MOH guidelines for delivering during this Covid pandemic. We deliver to vulnerable people and our priority is to keep them safe.


We are looking for a person who is;

  • caring and considerate
  • honest and reliable
  • friendly
  • has a clean, current drivers license
  • has good spoken and written english

A Police background check is required for this role.

Time commitment:

Up to 4 hours weekly or fortnightly.
