Retail Assistant New Lynn Hospice Shop
Our New Lynn Hospice Shop is a vintage shoppers' heaven. Quirky and full of life, our large retail store in the heart of New Lynn brings in the shoppers who can't get enough of this unique Hospice Shop. Louise, our shop manager is looking for enthusiastic and energetic volunteers who can help sort, organise and display the donations in the store.
We are looking for a volunteer who will fit right into this one-of-a-kind op shop and who is able to give at least 4hrs of their time a week. You will learn how to interact with customers, sort and price goods, and even work at the counter operating the till if that's of interest. It's a varied role.
All of the funds raised through our second-hand stores, go back into providing free end-of-life care for our patients and their families in our West Auckland community when they need us. If you have a passion for retail and enjoy working with people, come to talk to us about your next
You must be articulate, must communicate well and be reliable. Ideally we are looking for volunteers that want to belong to our volunteer crew for an extended period and the role is not suited to short term volunteering. Reliability is a key requirement, along with a can-do attitude, someone with an outgoing and friendly personality who is confident to work on the front-line till. Retail experience would be a bonus.
We are looking for a minimum of a 4-hour shift once a week Mornings 9am - 1pm, afternoons 1pm - 5pm. We are open 7 days a week.
