President for Board of Trustees

The president's role is to oversee the RDA group and committee, ensuring the successful functioning of the group and its objectives in the community. The president will also be a member of the sub-committees and encourage all committees to function well. The culture is friendly, inclusive and always fun, and the role has the full support of NZ Riding for the Disabled and the current team.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate would have experience in board and committee work and have the ability to encourage commitment and cooperation from each committee member. They would be able to represent the group to the wider community in a friendly and professional manner.

A Police background check is required for this role.

Time commitment:

Meetings are held at Totara Park Equestrian Centre at 7pm on Wednesdays (9 meetings per year). We only operate during the school terms, riding days are Mondays and Thursdays 8:30am till 1:00pm. You are not required to attend these sessions but initially it would help gain a good understanding of what we do.
