Props Operators and Stage Hands

We are looking for theatre prop operators and stage hands for our 6 theatre productions a year. Each production runs for 2 weeks.

One or two people are needed backstage to do set changes and prepare prop items at least 1 hour before the show begins. Shows are on during evenings at 8pm with matinees on Sunday at either 2pm or 4pm. If interested, the volunteer can help in sourcing or creating props.

The amateur actors rely on the props team to have everything in the right place at the right time. The audiences benefit from watching a professional performance which runs smoothly. There is great satisfaction in being part of a friendly team.

Requirements:

Quick thinking with an eye for detail, agility and general fitness. Own transport is required.

Time commitment:

Volunteers will be needed for up to 3 shows per week during the run of each production and a few rehearsals prior to learn the ropes. Ideal time commitment is 2 to 6 months.

Getting started:
The first step is to express your interest by filling out the form below. We will then put you in touch directly with the organisation for more information on the role and how to proceed.
