Sailing Coach Assistant

We provide people with disabilities the opportunity to sail in safety and to experience adventure and freedom – building mobility, self confidence and pride through achievement.

We are looking for volunteers to help the coach set up the boats for the day, to assist the sailors into their boats and help the coach on the coach boat to set up the course. At the end of the day we need help to clean up and put away the boats after training.

Requirements:

Some sailing experience required, an understanding in Sailboat setup. A willingness to be working with people living with a disability also helpful.

A Police background check is required for this role.

Time commitment:

The role requires 3 to 4 hours per shift on Wednesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sunday - day selected depends on availability of the the volunteer.
