Mahi Tahi, Mahi Wātea - launch

Supporting Inclusive Volunteering

After two years of collaboration, Mahi Tahi, Mahi Wātea — a new guide for leaders of volunteers — is ready to launch! This practical resource is designed to help volunteer-involving organisations engage and include people with disabilities in their volunteer programmes.

Why attend?

  • Hear from leaders in the volunteering and disability sectors about the impact of inclusive volunteering.
  • Learn how the guide can support your organisation to create meaningful opportunities for all volunteers.
  • Connect with other leaders of volunteers committed to fostering diversity and inclusion in Aotearoa.

The launch falls between 3 December, International Day of Persons with Disabilities, and 5 December, International Volunteer Day — highlighting the connection between valuing volunteers and ensuring volunteering is accessible to everyone in our communities.
