Mark Your Diaries

Speaker: Jacqui Fill, Manager Volunteering, Cancer Society, Auckland
Topic: Partnering and working with Staff to manage volunteers

So whose responsibility is it to manage the volunteers in our organisation? Whether your organisation is big or small, if your volunteers come in contact with other staff this topic will be of interest to you.

Jacqui says, "Over my years spent with the Cancer Society as Manager of Volunteering I have changed my view on who actually manages the volunteers on a day to day basis. This of course depends on the size of the organisation and the number of volunteers. We currently have over 400 regular volunteers and there is no way we as a volunteer team can manage this number of people. Being clear on whose responsibility is it to manage the volunteers and how this is done will be the focus for my presentation."

Host Venue: Auckland Art Gallery, Members Lounge, Level 2, Auckland Art Gallery, Kitchener Street
