Group Dinner Host

Your main focus on a Dinner Host shift is to support volunteer groups and our Chef to cook and serve meals

Key Tasks include:

  • Be an ambassador for RMHC and ensure volunteer groups have a positive experience
  • Supervise groups, if appropriate, with meal preparation, service and clean-up
  • Provide guidance to ensure dinner is ready to serve at 6pm and ensure the group is on track
  • Give advice as needed on how to set up for dinner service, clean up and store leftovers, assist if needed
  • Go through clean-up checklist with group leader at end of shift
  • Farewell and sign-out dinner group at the end of the evening

Requirements:

All volunteers must be 18 years of age or older. We require volunteers with a positive attitude and great communication skills. It is essential that you are person who enjoys socialising and can easily interact with a wide range of people. You will also be passionate about food, able to think on your feet and take initiative

You will be provided with Food Safety Certificate Training.

A Police background check is required for this role.

Time commitment:

The shifts we have available are:
Fortnightly Monday 2pm-5pm
Fortngihtly Monday 5pm-8pm
Fortnightly Tuesday 2pm-5pm
Fortnightly Tuesday 5pm-8pm
Fortnightly or weekly Thursday 2pm-5pm

We ask that you agree to regular shifts (weekly or fortnightly) and give as much notice as possible if you are unable to make one.
