Connecting People with Parks - Roy Clements Treeway

Conservation Volunteers NZ
Conservation | Working Hours | Mount Albert
15 November 2022

This project is part of our Connecting People With Parks programme, in partnership with Auckland Council, which runs every second Tuesday and sometimes over the weekend. Every second week we travel to an urban park in need throughout Auckland and undertake a variety of conservation tasks including weed removal, mulching, litter removal, nursery work, and planting. On the Tuesday 15th November we will be heading to Roy Clements Treeway for some much needed weed removal. For all our projects you are assisted by a qualified team leader who guides you through the tasks and can help you to identify and learn about native species of fauna and flora and conservation.

No experience is required as you will be guided by our team leader who will be with you on site throughout. We will provide all the tools you need for the work. We recommend all volunteers wear sturdy boots/shoes, long pants and a long-sleeved shirt. Auckland's weather can also be unpredictable, so bring with you a sun hat and a waterproof jacket. We can offer transport from our office in Eden Terrace, however seats are limited so please reserve a seat in advance.

Time commitment:

8:30am - 3pm onsite. The meeting time at our office will be 8am if you wish to get a ride in our van.
