Food Rescue Driver Assistant

Starting and finishing at our Hub on Rosebank Road, Avondale you will be working with the Fair Food Rescue Driver to collect and safely transport donated food, from supermarkets and food manufacturers, in the Fair Food chiller truck to the Fair Food Hub for the Warehouse Manager to receive. This includes but is not limited to;

  • Loading and unloading the truck
  • Upholding safe working practices in the truck, the supermarket warehouse and front store
  • Manual handling, including hand carrying up to 20kg multiple times throughout the shift
  • Entering rescued food into our app

Other duties as required, such as vehicle washing. We will not ask you to do anything unreasonable or beyond your capability.
Whilst you are out with the Driver you will be publicly representing Fair Food and are required to comply with our Code of Conduct at all times.


Who we're looking for;

  • someone hardworking with reasonable physical fitness, able to hand carry loads of 20kg throughout shift
  • Polite and respectful with a conscientious work ethic
  • Ability to work as part of a team with people from all walks of life
  • Basic level of spoken and written English
  • Clear and open communication
  • Ability to work unsupervised
Time commitment:

Shifts available Monday to Friday, 7.00am to 1pm and Saturdays 8am to 1.30pm.
Pick a day/s that suits your schedule.
Regular, weekly commitment preferred.
