Board Members

We host, develop, and maintain websites for non-profit community organisations and coach the mentally and physically impaired using video tutorials. We also provide accessible equipment for free. We are a unique team that includes both physically impaired and non-disabled professional volunteers.
IT'S ACCESSIBLE is currently reviewing its organisational strategy and is seeking board trustees who will help ensure its success in the future. We are a small organisation, and there is plenty to be done, which is why we are seeking committed individuals with a desire to make a difference for the Physically and Mentally impaired and non-profit organisations needing to get online.
The successful applicants will have excellent relationship management skills, strong networks throughout New Zealand, a willingness to work strategically and the ability to collaborate with others.

Requirements:

We are looking for trustees with one or more of the following skills:
Financial management skills, ideally CA
Governance experience
Legal expertise
Fundraising experience
An understanding of the not-for-profit sector.
Can be disabled and must understand the basics of IT
Must have New Zealand Residency

A Police background check is required for this role.

Time commitment:

IT'S ACCESSIBLE's board roles are voluntary positions.
Board meetings are run online and in person in Auckland. The sessions are Saturday's 1 pm or weekday evenings at 7 pm.
IT'S ACCESSIBLE's Board has a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 12 Trustees. and 3 Board Advisers representing our physically and mentally impaired communities on accessible IT and educational needs for the physically and mentally disabled in New Zealand. In addition, key Board members will contribute to operational tasks and their board commitment. This work could be an additional five to ten hours a month.
