Trustees

Tardigrade World Charitable Trust is actively seeking dedicated individuals to serve as trustees. As an art and sustainability research group, Tardigrade World takes pride in initiating and supporting various projects within these domains. As of mid-2023, our ongoing projects include:

ACRCAR (Artistic Residency at community-owned recycling centres in Auckland): This unique residency program challenges artists to practice their craft within a waste-conscious and sustainability-oriented context. By fostering connections between the art community and recycling centres, ACRCAR aims to promote waste minimization efforts and make an artistic contribution to our community's sustainability goals.

Mugly: Mugly operates as a circular economy initiative, focused on minimizing single-use cup waste in Tamaki Makaurau. The project collects donated second-hand mugs and distributes them to multiple cafes across Auckland, where coffee buyers can use them free of charge. The mugs can be taken away, reused, and returned to any Mugly station displayed on our map.

Waste Archive: Serving as a media platform, Waste Archive spreads messages related to art and waste mitigation. It provides a valuable channel for raising awareness and promoting sustainable practices through creative means.

Rubbish Research in Tamaki Zero Waste Hub: This project involves ongoing research and exploration within the Tamaki Zero Waste Hub, contributing to our understanding of inorganic waste from an artistic perspective.

If you are passionate about our mission and possess relevant expertise, we wholeheartedly invite you to join us as a trustee and make a meaningful contribution to our work.
