Fund Research Volunteer
Mindful Money is looking for a volunteer who is committed to making a positive change in the world. The role is to research the fund portfolios which are a fundamental part of the data we provide on our website. The role will report to the Operations Manager, who will provide support, advice and direction. The key tasks are to:
Research information on companies in the portfolios of KiwiSaver and investment funds; Undertake internet searches for fund portfolio holdings; Download fund portfolio holdings and ensure they are in the correct format; Update spreadsheets tracking the information found for funds; Collate fund investment policies; Upload fund documentation to the Mindful Money website; Other research and analytical tasks agreed with the Operations Manager, e.g. to prepare summary tables on key investment information.
The role will suit someone who has:
Educational achievement in business, mathematics or a related discipline; Experience of research or analysis for school or university projects or an employer; Skills in file management and using spreadsheets - Excel and Google Sheets; A methodical approach and attention to detail; The stamina to do sometimes quite repetitive work, knowing that it’s all for a good cause!
Volunteers need to commit to working at least 2 days per week from mid October to mid December. All roles will require working from home with flexible working hours.
