Deputy Treasurer

Principal Accountabilities:
• Ensure the Treasury tray is cleared weekly • Check Treasurer’s email for debtors & creditors to process • Reconcile Xero bank account weekly • Process & pay all suppliers accordance with their terms of trade • Process debtors’ invoices and collect funds in a timely manner • Process & pay staff in accordance with their contracts • Load GST payment (if required) every 2 months • Reimburse and complete journal for petty cash as required • File and archive documents regularly • Complete other duties as per Treasury Timeline • Backup for Treasury functions as agreed
Desired Qualifications: An accounting qualification plus 2+ years of relevant experience as above is desirable. Experience in using Xero and Smartpayroll or similar software is essential. Experience in not for profit organisations would be an advantage.

Time commitment:

Time wise: Three hours a week between Monday to Thursday. Much of the role can be done remotely. This is an ongoing commitment working alongside our Treasurer
