Board Member

We seek a new Board member with experience in not for profit governance and with a particular skill set in IT as we move into improving our social media platforms and data collection to inform strategic planning and fundraising.

Communicare has served the older and disabled community of Auckland for 60 years and is a strong and credible organisation with a staff of 19 part-time employees and 250 volunteers. We operate 21 Friendship centres throughout West, East, Central and South Auckland.

Requirements:

We seek a new Board member with experience in not for profit governance and with a particular skill set in IT as we move into improving our social media platforms and data collection to inform strategic planning and fundraising. Experience in community development and compassion for vulnerable older people and overcoming social isolation are welcome attributes.

Time commitment:

Meetings are held early evening, monthly in Royal Oak. 11 meetings per annum of approx 2 hrs.
