Via radio and on-ward visits Radio lollipop Volunteers interact with children and their families through playing games, crafts, chatting and listening to our live "on-air" radio show.
Our volunteers provide sick children with a welcome distraction and escape from an anxious, intimidating and often a very scary circumstance where just being in hospital is a challenging experience. Our regular and continuing presence in the evenings provides a much anticipated distraction to those whose days have been long and distressing. Radio Lollipop brings relief not only to patients but also to their families and the hospital staff.
