Budget Advisor

We are in need of volunteers to share money management tools and advice. You will be responsible for providing assistance to people with budgeting difficulties. This is undertaken by regular and reliable supervision in the clients home. The aim of the advisor is to enable clients to take effective control of their own financial affairs.


Must have good listening skills; The ability to ask for help; Work within a team environment; A good understanding of the English language; Communicate well; A positive and non-judgmental attitude; Work sensitively and appropriately with a range of cultural and ethnic groups; An ability to maintain confidentiality.

A Ministry of Justice background check is required for this role.

Time commitment:

We are looking for approximately 3 hours of your time per week; days are flexible and would fit in with the volunteer. Twelve month commitment expected.
