Highwic - Coal Range Cooks

This is a hands-on role and will suit those who like to get “stuck in” and do things. There will be cooking and baking involved on a coal range, and you will be talking to our visitors. Ideally your will have an enthusiasm for New Zealand’s heritage and social history.

You will need to be an outgoing and engaging person, and have a “can-do” attitude while respecting the needs and aspirations of our many visitors. You are committed to delivering high-quality customer service and willing to work in a team. A teaching background is an advantage but not essential.

A Police background check is required for this role.

Time commitment:

One day per fortnight - 10:30-11 am to 1:30-2 pm. This will be between mid-March and the end of November as we don't run the coal range during the hot summer months!
