Warehouse Assistant Manukau

All Heart NZ partners with corporates to re-direct and re-purpose their redundant and unwanted items. Our reduce partnerships help to further develop the sustainable, ethical and social aspects of procurement and supply chain management.. We support partner organisations to reduce poverty, increase access to education and provide wellbeing services. We believe that improving the ways we both source and dispose of corporate goods can positively impact our planet and the quality of life of the people who help produce, reuse and dispose of it. Since launching in October 2016 2,293 tonnes of unwanted corporate items have been diverted from landfill and to community need. We run community enterprise stores on the North Shore and in Manukau, South Auckland. These stores enable us to re-purpose and re-sell office furniture, stationery, equipment and tech so we can be sustainable as a charity.

We would love someone to help in our Manukau warehouse and store, to move items around the warehouse, wipe down products ready for sale and help with light cleaning and other tasks in the warehouse, such as helping with inventory and stock-taking. If you are a practical person who likes to keep busy and have a few hours to spare each week on a day to suit, we would love to have you join our friendly team.

A friendly disposition and ability to work well in a small team are essential. In addition, a flexible approach to adapting to tasks as needed and a 'can-do' attitude would be ideal. Closed shoes and warm clothing are required (no jandals) as there will be work in the warehouse. We will provide training, personal protective equipment and refreshments.

Time commitment:

This is a flexible role but would be during working hours and at times to suit. This could be for a one-off project or as an ongoing commitment, depending on your availability. A few hours or a full day can be accommodated on weekdays only.
