Coordinator for Dinner Club
The role involves planning and preparation of a healthy, seasonal menu for up to 16 people as well as arrange fun activities to encourage conversation and relationship building. Most evenings are set at the Recreate office, turning the space into a dining room fit for a casual house dinner party. Some Dinner Club nights are spent out trying local restaurants and different cuisines. These meals aim to promote and offer the opportunity to build valuable friendships and inclusiveness as well as healthy eating through a dinner party style setting that may otherwise not be possible.
Be capable of planning and cooking for 16 guests; Shop effectively to keep costs to minimum; Be reliable and committed to 1x dinner per month. Must be able to create good rapport with all guests. Create social activities and ways to engage in conversation with all guests.
The Club is held once a month on a Monday from 6 to 8:30pm. There will be some administration time 1-2 hours prior to the event emailing out invitations, maintaining contact lists, answering queries and then on the Monday concerned there will be 5 to 6 hours food preparation.
