Governance Team Member / Board Secretary

We are seeking volunteers ideally with non-profit governance experience to join our board of trustees. The governance team has an oversight of the strategic direction of CMA while ensuring that the organisation meets its legal and financial obligations. We meet once a month currently on a Wednesday and there are several vacancies including general members and a secretary for minute keeping.

North Shore CMA Inc. is a multi-cultural, non-sectarian, non-profit, charitable organisation that offers fun social contact and companionship, and activities to isolated seniors.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will preferably bring skills in one or more of the following areas: Governance in NfP sector, fundraising and sponsorship, senior management and networking. Experience in community development and / or a strong network with Auckland's diverse communities, health communities or social services would also be of benefit.

A Police background check is required for this role.

Time commitment:

We meet once a month currently on the last Wednesday of the month from 12:30-2:30pm in Takapuna. Location may vary.
