Board Member Role - Community Development

We are looking for volunteers with non-profit governance experience to join our Board of Trustees. The governance board has oversight of the Strategic Direction and Operational Performance while ensuring the organisation meets its legal and financial responsibilities. This will include attending monthly meetings. Support will be provided and you will work as part of a team..

Requirements:

The preferred applicants will possess an elevated level of not-for-profit sector knowledge and/or a fundraising background. You will have a clear understanding of governance functions and principles, experience in community development including Maori/Pasifika. Previous experience in another governance role, a strong network within Auckland's diverse communities, health community or social services education and Maori education.

A Police background check is required for this role.

Time commitment:

The meetings once a month, usually a Wednesday during school term time from 6:30pm to 8:00pm. Plus occasional meetings outside of these for a specific purpose or organization event, with advance notice.
