Trustee
We are looking for someone with experience of not for profit governance, or an enthusiastic person with knowledge of ME/CFS who is keen to learn about governance. The Trustees meet quarterly, and the Working Group meets monthly (including the Trustees). Trustees are asked to contribute to Board discussion and decision making. Orientation and support are provided and further training is through participation of Board meetings.
We are a small trust with big plans! Our work helps people with ME/Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and Fibromyalgia to live a better life while navigating the challenges of these long term illnesses. Our aim is to open a dedicated respite for people with ME/CFS to provide a sanctuary for safe regeneration of body and spirit, as well as providing carer respite, and we have a number of projects we are implementing on our journey towards opening the respite.
Our new Trustee will preferably have personal experience of ME/CFS, and will bring skills in one or more of following areas: Governance in Not for Profit; Fundraising and Sponsorship; Senior Management; Networking. If you have experience in all or most of the areas above, please make contact to discuss your involvement.
As there will be decisions made on finances of the group a Police Check will be required.
The meetings are online and on average take 1 to 2 hours per week.
